Thanks to Hallie we got the privilege to see the Nutcracker at the Hangover Theater. Once we got off the school bus we went into the theater room where the Nutcracker was presented. We waited awhile for the show to come on. Finally all the lights shut off in a INSTANT. The golden sparkly chandeliers stopped sparkling and a women started speaking... The Nutcracker started. People screamed, clapped and were excited to see the performance. In the beginning we saw a big family celebrating Christmas. Then they started dancing... I was so confused. During act 1 we saw Hallie in a mouse costume, we all pointed and whispered when we saw her.  By the end of Act one there were two people dancing. Most children noticed there was a hole in one of the performers white leggings (oops!). We started to quietly giggle. After their performance there was an intermission. We were expecting to have snack by that time but the theater volunteers said we could not. So we stretched and took a short break. Once act 2 was over we went on our bus that was headed back to Mill Pond school. The Nutcracker was a great performance and field trip.
