Dear Students,
We hope you are enjoying a summer of fun and relaxation. We certainly have! But we also can't wait to begin our year with you!
In fourth grade we will grow as curious and passionate learners, readers, authors, mathematicians and scientists!
This year you are lucky because you will have two teachers and two classrooms, Ms. Kilpatrick and Mrs. Follett. Our rooms are at the end of the blue hall in rooms 108 and 110. You know there's a saying, "two heads are better than one". So imagine when we put all 20 of your heads together! Imagine the thinking, discussing and learning that will take place this year in our classroom! It's going to be awesome!
To start the school year we are going to be taking a lot of time getting to know each other. We want to build a classroom community where everyone feels safe and comfortable to learn and grow. We want to know...what are your interests? What are you passions? Your hobbies? Your fears? We can't wait to get to know YOU!
In just two short weeks we will be waiting outside in front of Mill Pond to meet and greet you! Be sure to bring a smile and a favorite book to share. We are so excited to begin our fourth grade adventure together!
Your Teachers,
Ms. Kilpatrick and Mrs. Follett

Dear Parents,
Welcome to our class website. This is where we will share our on-going learning that takes place in our classroom throughout the year. We will share pictures and daily learning that takes place during our school days. Be sure to check the site daily so you know what your child is experiencing here at Mill Pond. Our hope is that the website will not only inform you of classroom happenings and content your child is learning, but promote conversations about their learning with families at home. In addition, nightly homework assignments will be posted under the Homework tab.
We value and encourage parent/teacher communication and input, so please feel free to e-mail us to share any information you feel is important for us to know about your child before school starts and ask any questions that you may have.
We are looking forward to meeting and working with all of you to make this a happy and successful school year for everyone.
Sincerely,
Kristen Kilpatrick
Joan Follett
